A regulation board, eighteen carrommen plus the queen, and a striker heavy enough to move them.

Board

Square, made of smooth plywood or hardwood, with rounded corners and four corner pockets.

Rule02#

Carrommen

Nine white, nine black, and one red queen. Every piece is smooth and round so it slides cleanly across the surface.

Key rule03#

Striker

The heavier piece used to hit the carrommen. It must be flicked with a finger — never pushed.

Rule04#

Board setup

The centre circle holds the carrommen in a “Y” shape with the queen at the centre. All the carrommen must be in close contact.

  • Queen sits alone at the centre of the circle.
  • Remaining eighteen pieces form the “Y”, alternating colours.
  • No gaps — every piece touches its neighbours before the break.
